How to identify an unknown device in your router
To identify an unknown device, you have to log in to your router.
1. Go to your favorite browser. Like Chrome, Firefox, etc.
2. And search (192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1).It's a router address. You can use it according to your router. Your local provider will know. You can ask your local wifi provider, and it's written on your wifi router. Suppose I use a TP-Link router, so my address is 192.168.0.1.
3. Now give the default password admin. Or you can set up a custom password.
4. Now you will see the wireless option on the left right corner. Click on it.
5. Now click on the "Wireless Statistics."
6. After clicking on the "wireless statistics," you will see the wireless station currently connected. As you can see, 4 devices are connected to my wifi network.
Identify unknown devices.
Now after checking on "wireless statistics," you can easily identify through MAC address. If you see someone connected suspiciously, then you will see a different MAC address.
