I personally, use it whenever I get free time I saw the past images of any specific place how it was look like... it's kind a interesting things for me....

What Does “Go Back in Time” Mean on Google Earth?

Go back in time means that you are going to past time. Suppose, you are seeing a place at the present time and you want to see the place fast view.

As you can see this image this is a building how it's was look before Construction. Date: Nov30, 2019.

Now you can see the same building after construction. Now date: Mar30,2024

I really find it interesting.... I use this feature on google earth checked my area and some interesting places whenever I get time...

How you can use google earth app on your android phone. Follow the steps down below:--

1. Go to play store and download Google earth application.

2. After installing the application open it

3. Tap this map icon 🗺️

4. Now turn on these two options ⇛ "Exploration" "Historical imagery" .

5. In search bar search your place which you want to explore.

6. In map try to zoom in/zoom out to see the better view.

7. As you can see the image swipe left to go back in time..... means, to see the past images.

Tip: some places have limited data. Google update map according to their program.

Method 2: Use Google Earth Website (Desktop Mode) on Android

You can use google earth website in desktop mode on your android phone. Follow the steps down below:-

1. Go to Chrome browser on your phone and open it.

2. In the search bar type "earth.google.web"

3. Now click three dot menu on the top right corner and turn on desktop mode

4. It will takes time to load the map.

Tip: You are going to see a slide bar. Tap on slider to see the past images.

You can historical images. But there one problem it will work slow on android device. If you have a strong internet connection, then it will work perfectly....

Tips for Better Results

At first, you need a good network connection. You can use wifi, mobile data etc. Select busy area where there high chances to data available. If image didn't work perfectly then clear cache of google earth maps try again. Try zoom in/zoom out settings to get better view. Instead of 2D view select 3D view. In 3D view image look better I personally, use this 3D view to get better view.....

Some common problems and solutions on google earth

There are some common problems on google earth I have solution for you. Try these it might be work for you.

Problem 1: Images not loading?

Solution: when image not load on the screen check you internet connection or you can clear cache and try again.

Problem 2: Map is not clear?

Solution: When your map in not clear there are two options one in 2D view another is 3D view. So you can use 3D view.

Problem 3: Automatically turn off Historical imagery settings?

Solution: When you exit the app Historical imagery settings automatically turn off. You can go settings again and turn it on. This thing annoying but there are no other option.
