How to identify unknown device connected to your network

We all have wifi connection in our home. Sometimes we keep our wifi password simple then anyone connected to our wifi.If you are facing the same problems then read the full article......

Nowadays it's a common problem we set up wifi in our home but someone else uses our wifi and our wifi getting slow day by day. And we can't use our wifi properly because of some unknown device connected to our wifi network.


How to identify unknown device in your router 


To identify unknown device you have to login in Your router. 

1. Go to your favorite browser. Like Chrome, Firefox etc.

2. And search ( 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1)
Its a router address. You can use according to your router. Your local provider will know. You can ask your local wifi provider and its written in your wifi router.suppose, I use TP-Link router so my address is 192.168.0.1 

3. Now give default password admin. Or you can set up custom password.

4. Now you will see wireless option on the left right corner. Click on it.

5. Now click on the " wireless Statistics"


6. After clicking on the "wireless Statistics" you will see wireless station currently connected.  As you can see 4 device is connected to my wifi network. 

Identify unknown devices


Now after checking on "wireless Statistics" you can easily identity through MAC address. If you see someone connected suspicious then you will see a different mac address. So that's how you can identify unknown device.....

What to do if you find a suspicious device?


Well, if you still can't find unknown devices through MAC address then you can do is change your wifi password and that is best option. Lots of people don't know what is wifi mac address is so you can change your wifi password and keep a strong password combination between characters and letters example: TechorTips#44. Pro tips to keep your wifi safe


Well, you should enable WPA 2 or 3 protection. And change your router default password because anyone can login if you keep your router password admin. Like it's a common default password. So create a custom password in router login.You can ask you local wifi provider for the password and you can create your own. And another thing you can do is hide your wifi so no one will know you have a wifi. And don't share your wifi password to anyone. I mean to say if someone is your related or closed ask for password you can just connect through qr code........
